Emohua LGA chairman, Dr Chidi Lloyd on Saturday joined the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State to welcome returnees from the APC and other political parties back to the PDP family in the state, at a reception tagged ‘The 11th Hour Home-Coming’ held at Isaac Boro Park Port Harcourt.
Prominent amongst the returnees were the former BOT member of the APC Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, former Rivers State commissioners, Hon George Tolofari, Hon Samuel Eyiba, Hon Fed Igwe and Hon Dandyson Ruben Uku , former Rivers State publicity secretary of the APC, Chris Finebone, former Africa youth representative, Amb. Marvin Yobaba, former council chairman/ APC chairman of Ikwerre LGA, Hon Bestman Amadi and others.
The returnees were received by the State chairman of the PDP, H.E Amb. Desmond Akawor and handed over to the respective LGA chairmen of the party for reintegration into the party structure at the LGA levels.
The leader of the party and Governor of Rivers State, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, his deputy Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Sir Siminialayi Fubara and his running mate, Prof. Mrs. Ngozi Ordu and other prominent leaders of the PDP also witnessed the homecoming ceremony, amidst a large crowd of supporters of the returning political leaders.
